Our navigators serve as a liaison between individual patients and the various healthcare providers who contribute to proper diagnosis, treatment and management of breast disease. Serving as a consistent care coordinator throughout a breast cancer patient's experience - from prevention and education, diagnosis and treatment through survivorship - the Breast Care Patient Navigators assist patients in a variety of ways.

 

Navigators can:

    Explain medical and cancer information

    Help to coordinate medical appointments

    Provide referrals related to insurance needs

    Identify community resources and appropriate support

 

Our navigators work with the Santa Barbara Breast Care Alliance's multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care.
